Beta Site
(4/5/2005)

Well, I've gotten a bit closer to a replacement web site.
Try the new index, but remember, this is a beta! I appreciate constructive feedback about the new design and stuff, so if you are brave, please help me out. Thanks!

DAMA Symposium
(12/20/2004)

I hope everyone who frequents DataModel.Org is a member of DAMA. If you aren't, please visit the site and join! Also please plan on attending the 2005 Symposium coming up in May. It is always a fantastic experience. I've been to quite a few myself, and this year I'm presenting my talk about Modeling Layers.

Site Updates
(10/25/2004)

I've added a couple of new items to the Data Modeling Reference section. There are draft white papers about surrogate keys and look-up tables. Also, there is a really new page with job description information. I find it very hard to find authoritative information about Data Management job descriptions. Anyone wanting to help out, please let me know.

Site Updates
(10/3/2004)

Just to give it a try, added PAYPAL link on main page. People can still send in checks with their membership forms, but for some this might be easier. Remember, this is just helping me keep the hosting fees paid and the site on-line.

Site Updates
(8/9/2004)

More books have been added to the Library. Also, the Mailing List Signup Page has been enhanced, making it easier for me to support additional mailing lists..

Design Tools
(7/19/2004)

I've been adding more modeling tools to the Design Tool Section. One interesting entry, "Sanity", runs in the Java Virtual Machine, so it is platform independent. Support your vendor of choice!

DAMA Conference
(5/11/2004)

I just got back from the annual DAMA conference, held this year in beautiful Los Angeles, California (not that I actually stepped out of the hotel). I am working on a write-up about my experiences, which will be posted on here as soon as it is done.

Hosting Change
(4/6/2004)

The web site has been migrated to a new hosting option. Whew! That took longer than it should have, but we are back on-line again. Sorry for that. Nothing was working since 4/2, and it just came back this morning, 4/6.
