Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of DataModel.Org. We are a support organization, in turn supported by our members. This is not a company that sells products or services. We are just here to help data management professional do his/her job, and do it better. Our members are both the recipients and the providers of that help.

Why become a member?

As a guest, you have access to some of this site's content, but to really take advantage of the resources, you should become a member. Here are some of the things that members can do and see.

• Dictionary - We have a growing list of modeling terms and acronyms and members can view this list. They can also submit terms of their own to the list.
• Library - We have a list of related books that members can see. Even better, they can rank individual books and suggest their own favorites.
• Careers - DataModel.Org acts as a connection point for those seeking employment and those who are seeking qualified personnel. Members can look for jobs and post jobs. Furthermore, members can search for other members for other purposes, like just asking questions of an expert.
• Samples - Many of us have created demonstration models for presentations or other work, or possibly we have template models to use as a foundation for specific kinds of models. Members can access these models and contribute their own.
• Other Contributions - The FAQ, BLOG, Links and other public pages are open to members to contribute their own questions, links, ideas or whatever else is on their minds. The key is sharing information. We all learn this way.

So, what do you think? Is this worth something to you? I really hope so. It is my personal goal that you enjoy the site and come away with something of value, either from reading a posting, finding someone to help you personally, or whatever. However, remember that hosting a web site is not free. Your membership dues pay for hosting fees, programming resources, and all kinds of other costs associated with running this little slice of heaven.

How much does it cost?

Membership is actually quite inexpensive. Just $20/year for an individual membership and $100/year for a corporate membership. Literally pennies a day. You spend a lot more than this on candy for your kids.

What do I do now?

All right, you're sold. You want to help us, and you want to get at all the neat content. Even better, you have $20 or $100 you can devote to this worthy cause.

2. Pay your membership dues, either using Paypal or mailing a check:
